Hair transplantation includes the steps of extraction, opening of the canal and implantation. Percutaneous hair transplantation is a method that involves opening the scalp canal in areas where there is no hair. In the percutaneous technique, the channels which are opened with the sapphire blade are very fine. Instead of slits, the holes are round. This means that each hole is the same size and diameter as the hair follicle, which means that when placed in the center, the hair follicle has no way of moving. In the percutaneous method, the sampling phase is identical to that of the FUE sampling. The hair follicles are removed one by one from the donor area. The implantation is the same, but it is carried out with the sapphire blade.
The advantage of the percutaneous technique
Since the channels (holes) are the same size as the hair follicles, the percutaneous technique provides an extremely natural result at the correct angle.
In percutaneous hair transplantation, the hair follicles are firmly embedded in the very small holes. This is why the hair follicles have no risk of moving.
Another advantage is the rapid healing period. Within 3-4 days, no more scab will be visible in the grafted area.
